About Grullo Mustang Foals:
Grullo (also spelled grulla) is a rare and beautiful color in horses, featuring a mouse-grey or slate-grey body with black points (mane, tail, and lower legs) and primitive markings including a dorsal stripe down the back. Grullo is caused by the dun gene acting on a black base coat. Mustang foals with this coloring are particularly striking! American Mustangs are descendants of Spanish horses brought to the Americas in the 16th century, and they roam free across the western United States. Mustang foals are born in the wild and can stand and run within hours of birth—a survival necessity in their harsh environment. These foals are incredibly hardy, developing sure-footedness and endurance from navigating desert and mountain terrain. Grullo mustang foals grow into tough, intelligent horses standing 14-15 hands high. When domesticated, they make excellent trail horses, endurance mounts, and ranch horses. They're living symbols of American freedom and the Wild West!
