About Trakehner Stallions:

The Trakehner is a light warmblood breed of horse originally developed at the East Prussian state stud farm in the town of Trakehnen, from which the breed takes its name. Trakehners are known for their elegance, athleticism, and floating movement, making them one of the most successful breeds in Olympic equestrian sports. Trakehner stallions are refined yet powerful, typically standing 15.2-17 hands high. The breed is known for its 'floating trot' and natural jumping ability. Grey is a popular color in Trakehners, often featuring beautiful dappling. These horses have incredible endurance and courage—during WWII, Trakehners made a legendary 900-mile trek through winter to escape the advancing Soviet army, with only a few hundred surviving.
