Barbeque Ribs the old fashioned way

BBQ Ribs

3 - 4 lbs. pork ribs cut into serving size pieces
1 Lemon Sliced
1 Large Onion, Sliced
1 Cup Catsup
3 Tbsp Worcestershire Sauce
1 tsp Chili Powder or Rib Rub to taste
1 tsp Salt
2 Dashes Tobasco Sauce to taste
1 Cup Water
liquid smoke if desired

If baking in an oven, preheat to 450 degrees, (hot).  Place ribs in baking pan, meaty side up.  On each piece, place a slice of lemon and a slice of onion.  Roast 30 minutes, then combine remaining ingredients.  Pour over ribs, and reduce heat to 350 degrees, (moderate) and bake 1 1/2 hours more.
Baste 2 or 3 times with the juices in the pan.

If grilling, use a suitable sized grilling pan, and prepare the same, choosing the high heat setting for the first half hour of grilling.  No liquid smoke will be necessary if grilling over charcoal.  If using a gas grill or stove top grill, try some of our Real Wood Chips and Chunks.

Many people discard the slices of lemon or onion.  Your call.

Serves 4 hungry people very well.
