Apple Crisp with Gluten Free Flour
from Marlene Arnold, courtesy of Jack's Country Store

This recipe can be made with any kind of flour you choose.  We simply like the flavor of the gluten free flour better.  Serves about 6  people comfortably and may be served warm or cold.  Vanilla Ice Cream is a very nice touch.
Ingredients:
10-12 Golden Delicious Apples, Cored and Sliced 3/4 tsp Cinnamon
1 1/2 Cups C&H Brown Sugar 1/4 tsp Nutmeg
1 1/4 Cups Bob's Red Mill Gluten Free All Purpose Baking Flour (Any All purpose flour works, we just prefer the GF flavor. 3/4 Cups Salted Butter (slightly softened)
1 1/4 Cups Crushed Kellogg's Corn Flakes or Rice Krispies

Directions:
Slice apples thin and spread out in a 9 x 13 inch baking pan.  Mix brown sugar, flour, crushed cereal and spices together in a medium size mixing bowl.  Cut in the butter until mixture is crumbly.  Sprinkle over the sliced apples.  Bake at 350º for about an hour depending on your oven and altitude.  Serves about 6 people comfortably and goes well with Vanilla Ice Cream.
